What can I say, I am a little obsessed with these things we call fruits and veggies. I mean, how could you not be? They are full of flavor and you can come up with crazy delicious recipes on the fly, just like I have with my Green Mean Smoothie Bowl. Basically I took all the veggies I had, that needed to be used, in my fridge and threw this little gem together. Cooking doesn't have to be hard, nor does it have to be expensive.
I know a lot of people think that in order to be plant based, vegan (whatever you want to call it) you have to spend tons of money and that it's just cheaper and easier to continue eating cheap and fast. But I am here to show you ( and tell you) that is not the case. You CAN eat healthy and not spend a lot of money. Heck, in most cases you will be saving yourself money, plus health issues later down the road. It's all about knowing where to go, what to buy and having a plan. More on this at a later date... but for now here is the super easy Green Mean Smoothie Bowl Recipe:
Handful of Spinach
1/2 banana ( either frozen or fresh- I used frozen in mine)
1/4 cup of oats
1/2 cup of almond milk - unsweetened
Blend everything together. Pour in a bowl and then top with sliced banana, kiwi and coconut shreds. Serve and Enjoy!
